Hearst Designer Visions: David Rockwell

You'd think I'd have gotten more posts up this week considering how much time I've spent at home because of the hurricane.  The truth is that it's hard to focus and pull away from the news coverage.  The city looks like something out of a movie and everyone outside seems dazed and confused.  Poor Staten Island looks like the aftermath of World War II and you really can't travel below 34th Street due to the lack of electricity.

I was wondering after my first Hearst Designer Visions post if the building of the showhouse at 250 West Street in Tribeca sustained any damage due to its proximity to the Hudson River.  As I mentioned, you might have already seen David Rockwell's space in the November 2012 issue of House Beautiful.  David wasn't actually on site when I visited and since I'm still distracted, you can read an interview with him here and find all the sources here.  Don't forget that you can donate to the relief efforts for the entire East Coast at the Red Cross. It's going to take a while to recover but as we all know from previous experience, New York is resilient.
