Dazzling Design

I love talking to other new authors about the process of making a book.  We all agree that there was a huge learning curve but now that we know what we're doing, we're ready to start book two. Such is the case with interior designer Amanda Nisbet.  Her new book Dazzling Design has just been released and I can say for sure that it will dazzle you as well. The book follows her process of design which she says, is the "method to my madness." One of the things I learned before making my book is that you have to give readers new photos that they haven't already seen online.  Every project in Amanda's book was shot new and 90% of it has never been seen before.  She hopes that they book will help the average person but I think even a design professional will learn something from her fearless use of color. Although, she did make sure to note that there are some neutral projects.

What's not neutral is her terribly chic office.  It is conveniently located right across the hall from her apartment but maybe not for long.  Her business is doing so well that they it might be time to look for a bigger space.  With moving comes redecorating and I'm already calling dibs on the two acid green leather upholstered guest chairs above.  (And the Celine bag too.)  Color extends to every facet of Amanda's life and probably has something to do with her lovely, happy demeanor.  She is one of the people I always love running into on the Upper East Side and I'm so proud of her new book.  I hope you will check it out and attend one of her book signings.  The first of which will be held in New York this week.
