Good evening, Lovelies!
Before I can show you my refashion for today, here is what I wore for Day 22: The Roman Holiday Outfit!
This me at my sewing table, which is soon to be given away with a vintage Singer inside. The bobbin is broken, but other than that, the machine turns on and runs well. I bought it for $15 but my friend Becky is going to give it a home where it is well loved and not hidden all the time :)
For today's refashion, I chose my bridesmaid's dress from my best friend's wedding.
Here it is in action - me getting my groove on.
And the most awesome jump picture. That is my fabulous bestie, Stephy, in the middle, and on the far right is another friend who is currently having babies at this moment! Yay twins!
I desperately wanted to make this into a party dress that I could wear to a cocktail event, because someday that might happen and I don't want to be caught unprepared. In honor of that someday occasion, I broke out the rhubarb wine and got to snapping photos.
I'm sitting on top of our moving boxes because I am a classy lady.
I cut 18 inches off the hem and took away the spaghetti straps. I made a halter piece out of the leftover skirt so I have more support for the girls.
I kept the back of the dress intact because I love the way it laces up. Doesn't Stephy have good taste? Love this color, love the beaded bodice, and love the back details.
Now, if only I had some place to wear it...
while I ponder that, I leave you with a picture of something I found in one of our closets:
Where do we get this stuff??
I'm off to clean in preparation for Mama Grand's visit tomorrow :) Have a great night all!
