Since I am not buying any clothes in 2011, I am perusing my favorite websites for looks I would like to copy...
First off, this dress from Modcloth...it's reminds me of A Midsummer's Night Dream. The fabric is so fabulous!
And some other Modcloth choices that I feel could be reasonably copied with my fabric stash on hand:
I would love to make this in yellow on top and bottom, with red in the middle...
I have some white blouses that need a home, as well as some pencil skirts that need some love...
I have soft green cowl neck dress that needs a refashion desperately...and I think that with some ribbon, I could definitely pull this off...
A dress I've begun making in a lovely cotton with green shamrocks on a white background...
I have a very funky green fabric that I think would shine best in a style like this...
This looks comfortable enough to sleep in...
And this would be lovely for the office...in summer, of course.
I have a feeling this would look great in red or orange - I love the neckline and layers of gathered fabric
And from Shabby Apple...
They never have this dress in my size...so I am now seeking out patterns for something similar...
I don't think I would look particularly fabulous in horizontal stripes, but I would be willing to try vertical stripes or a plaid with this design.
