Our California adventures have begun. After a sleepless night and early flight to San Francisco, we picked up our rental car and headed down towards Carmel. It didn't take long before we were able to say hello to the Pacific Ocean.
We were excited to arrive at our charming little hotel in Carmel.
With the time difference, we were up and ready for a walk today at 7:00 a.m. It was a misty, grey morning...and a walk through Carmel was absolutely magical. The combination of vibrant flowers, sweet historical cottages, tree-lined streets, and ocean vistas while sipping on delicious lattes made this a morning to remember.
So much eye candy in a morning walk. It's hard to describe how rejuvenating and uplifting it was to see such colour and beauty. And now we are here in Santa Barbara. After picking up some delicious salads and treats from Whole Foods, we settled in our hotel room, had a little picnic, and enjoyed the view!
It still seems like a dream that we are actually here! We can hardly wait to see what tomorrow brings!
